About this page
This is a courtesy translation of the German original, which is the version that applies.
This page explains transparently how artificial intelligence is used within AI-Optimizr, which external AI providers are used, and what limits AI-generated results can have.
1. What AI-Optimizr uses artificial intelligence for
AI-Optimizr analyses publicly accessible websites and helps users examine and improve how those websites appear in AI-based platforms.
Within AI-Optimizr, artificial intelligence may be used in particular for the following functions:
- analysing website content,
- assessing a website's visibility in AI systems,
- carrying out visibility tests,
- identifying opportunities for optimisation,
- producing GEO- and SEO-related recommendations,
- producing suggested courses of action,
- and generating specific text and optimisation suggestions.
The results are prepared within AI-Optimizr and presented to the user as an analysis, an assessment, a score, a recommendation or a suggested text.
2. AI providers used
AI-Optimizr may currently use AI services from the following providers:
- an AI service provider with an EU endpoint as the access route to all AI models used (the privacy policy gives its name and seat),
- models from OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini), operated by Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud in the European Union.
Analysing website content, producing recommendations and suggested texts, and identifying competitors run exclusively through the EU endpoint of our AI service provider, on AI models operated inside the European Union. Currently this is a model operated by Microsoft in the EU Data Zone of Microsoft Azure.
Visibility tests in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini also run through this EU endpoint: ChatGPT on a model from OpenAI operated by Microsoft in the EU Data Zone of Microsoft Azure, Claude and Gemini on models from Anthropic and Google respectively, operated by Google Cloud in the European Union.
Which providers are used for a particular analysis may depend on the chosen function, the product configuration and the user's settings.
AI-Optimizr may use several AI providers, because models can differ in their answers, data sources, capabilities and assessment of websites.
The models used may change over time, for example when providers update, replace or release models.
An up-to-date overview of the providers used can be published or updated on this transparency page at any time.
3. AI-generated analyses and recommendations
Certain results within AI-Optimizr are produced wholly or partly using artificial intelligence.
These may include in particular:
- website analyses,
- assessments,
- optimisation recommendations,
- suggested courses of action,
- summaries,
- suggested texts,
- and certain components of the scores shown.
AI-generated results are based on the input data available at the time, the models used and the technical configuration at the time of the analysis.
They do not constitute an objective or permanently valid assessment of a website.
4. AI-generated text suggestions
AI-Optimizr can produce text suggestions of its own that users may use for their website or other content.
Such suggestions are created using generative AI.
The user decides whether a suggested piece of content is:
- adopted,
- changed,
- discarded,
- or published.
AI-Optimizr does not publish AI-generated texts automatically on a user's website.
Before publication, AI-generated content should always be checked for factual accuracy, currency, legal admissibility and suitability for the intended purpose.
5. No guarantee for AI results
Generative AI systems work probabilistically. Identical or similar inputs can therefore produce different results.
AI-generated content may in particular be:
- incomplete,
- inaccurate,
- out of date,
- misleading,
- or factually wrong.
So-called hallucinations, where an AI system produces plausible-looking but actually false information, cannot be ruled out entirely either.
AI-Optimizr can therefore give no guarantee that an individual AI-generated analysis, recommendation or text is complete or free of errors.
6. What the AI-Optimizr scores mean
Various analysis values, or scores, may be used within AI-Optimizr.
These values are intended to help present analysis results in a structured and comparable way.
A score does not, however, constitute an objective or generally recognised assessment of a website.
The results may depend, among other things, on:
- the website analysed,
- the content available at the time of the analysis,
- the AI model used,
- the model version,
- the analysis methods used,
- and changes at external AI providers.
Scores should therefore be understood as orientation and as an aid to analysis.
In visibility tests, each AI system decides itself whether to search the web for its answer. Answers without a web search cite no sources. They are therefore marked as “no web search” and left out of the citation rate; mentions of the brand and the domain still count.
7. No guarantee of better AI visibility
AI-Optimizr is intended to help users identify possible measures for improving a website's visibility in AI-based systems.
It cannot, however, be guaranteed that implementing the suggested measures will lead to a particular placement, mention or better visibility.
In particular, AI-Optimizr cannot guarantee that a website or a company will in future be named, recommended or shown preferentially by:
- ChatGPT or OpenAI,
- Claude or Anthropic,
- Google Gemini,
- or other AI systems.
External AI providers decide independently about their models, data sources, algorithms and answer generation.
These systems can be changed or updated at any time.
8. Different results from different AI systems
Different AI models can assess the same website differently.
The answers of a single AI model can also change over time.
Possible causes include:
- model updates,
- changed training or search data,
- different data sources,
- different search or retrieval methods,
- changes to the respective providers' systems,
- differently worded queries,
- or probabilistic differences in answer generation.
The result of a single AI provider should therefore not be understood as a generally valid assessment.
This is why AI-Optimizr makes it possible to look at different AI platforms and analysis results.
9. Human review
AI-Optimizr serves as an analysis and support system.
AI-generated recommendations and content are meant to support human decisions, not to replace them.
In particular, for important business, legal, financial, medical or otherwise consequential decisions, results should not be arrived at solely on the basis of an AI-generated analysis.
Users are responsible for checking content before actually using or publishing it.
10. No assessment of natural persons
AI-Optimizr is not intended to assess natural persons or to make decisions about natural persons.
In particular, AI-Optimizr carries out no:
- applicant assessment,
- employee assessment,
- creditworthiness assessment,
- health assessment,
- personality assessment,
- emotion recognition,
- biometric categorisation,
- or comparable assessment of natural persons.
The subject of the analysis is websites, website content, and their visibility and optimisation potential in AI-based systems.
11. Processing of website content
For analyses, AI-Optimizr may process publicly accessible information from a website.
This may include, for example:
- website texts,
- headings,
- page titles,
- structured information,
- URLs,
- domain information,
- publicly presented company information,
- and other content required for the respective analysis.
Depending on the analysis chosen, the necessary parts of this information may be transmitted to the AI providers used for the analysis.
In doing so, AI-Optimizr follows the principle of transmitting only information that is necessary for the respective function.
Further information on the processing of personal data, on recipients, on possible transfers to third countries and on legal bases can be found in the AI-Optimizr privacy policy.
12. Personal data on publicly accessible websites
AI-Optimizr is not designed to analyse personal data.
Publicly accessible websites may nevertheless contain personal information, for example:
- names of contact persons,
- names of managing directors,
- author information,
- business email addresses,
- telephone numbers,
- or details from an imprint.
In so far as such information is part of the website analysed, processing in the course of a website analysis cannot be ruled out entirely on technical grounds.
Further details are explained in the privacy policy.
13. Data processing by external AI providers
The AI providers integrated into AI-Optimizr are each subject to their own technical, contractual and data-protection conditions.
The analysis of website content runs exclusively through the EU endpoint of our AI service provider. According to the provider, these requests are processed exclusively inside the European Union, and inputs and outputs are not stored by default.
Visibility tests also run through this EU endpoint. Only the text of the question is transmitted.
Depending on the provider, data may be processed outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. This applies in particular to the web search in visibility tests: where the search services process the search terms is not documented for this route.
AI-Optimizr therefore does not currently claim that all AI processing takes place exclusively within the European Union.
Where technically and contractually possible, privacy-friendly settings and regional processing options are to be used.
Further information on this, including the name and seat of the AI service provider, can be found in the privacy policy.
14. No use of uploaded documents
AI-Optimizr currently offers no function through which users can upload their own documents or files for AI analysis.
The analysis concentrates on publicly reachable websites and the information needed for the respective analysis.
Should an upload function be introduced in future, the corresponding data-protection and transparency information will be adapted before the function is introduced.
15. Changes to the AI systems used
The market for artificial intelligence is developing quickly.
AI providers may in particular:
- release new models,
- change existing models,
- discontinue models,
- add or remove functions,
- change data-processing procedures,
- or update technical interfaces.
AI-Optimizr may therefore change the models or providers used where this is necessary for technical, qualitative, security-related, legal or economic reasons.
Material changes to the way AI-Optimizr uses artificial intelligence will be reflected in the corresponding information.
16. Responsible use of AI
AI-Optimizr aims to use artificial intelligence in a comprehensible and responsible way.
This includes in particular:
- transparency about the use of AI,
- data minimisation,
- human control over important results,
- regular review of the AI providers used,
- documentation of the models used,
- examination of data-protection and security requirements,
- and regular reassessment of the AI functions when material changes occur.
17. Note on the EU AI Act
In developing and providing its AI functions, AI-Optimizr takes into account the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (the “EU AI Act”) that apply to the system.
The transparency obligations under Art. 50 of the AI Act have applied since 2 August 2026.
Among other things, AI-Optimizr produces AI-generated text suggestions.
For such generative functions, the applicable requirements on making AI-generated content recognisable are taken into account in the technical design of the system.
This transparency page supplements the technical measures and serves to explain to users, in understandable terms, how artificial intelligence is used within AI-Optimizr.
18. Further information
